New flavor

So, today is my 8th year wedding anniversary.  How did my husband and I celebrate this accomplishment?  Did we go out for a fancy dinner?  Nope.  Did we exchange fancy gifts?  Nope.  (Only because they haven't arrived in the mail yet.)  Instead, he spent the day cooking a pork shoulder which turned out deliciously, and I baked cupcakes.  It was a tasty way to spend the day, and the oven did a wonderful job of warming up the house.  Fifty degrees in October!  I refuse to turn the furnace on.  Anyway, the flavor of the day was pumpkin spice with an orange glaze.  I thought the flavor was appropriate for the season.  I've heard a lot of people talking about the local doughnut shops selling glazed pumpkin doughnuts. I knew they would translate well into a cupcake, especially after last week's apple spice.  I started with a yellow cake and added canned pumpkin.  They're spiced up with cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg.  The glaze was made with fresh squeezed orange juice and had the zest mixed in to give it that super orangy flavor. They filled the house with a spicy aroma and tasted like pumpkin pie when they were all done. These little cakes tasted like fall.

I'm working on a few new flavors, but I always love suggestions.  If anyone ever has any, feel free to share.  You may get the first taste!
